Bay Area Band Raises Funds for Horace Mann Middle School

San Francisco, Calif. — January 13, 2001 — Berkeley-based soul band !Tang hosted a benefit concert January 13th at the Elbo Room in San Francisco. Proceeds from the show went towards San Francisco's Horace Mann Middle School. !Tang's efforts raised funds and helped spark a renewed interest in the Mission district's education programs, especially its funding for the arts. Bay Area Soul Band Hosts Bus to Sacramento Heritage Festival

Sacramento, Calif. — June 3, 2001 — Berkeley-based soul band !Tang hosted a bus full of friends, fans and frozen OJ as they headed out to Gibson Ranch for this year's Sacramento Heritage Festival. The bus was packed, the energy was high, and the boys drew crowds as they pulled out all the stops for a funk filled set.
